The brief was for an elegant and simple backdrop for the theatre of the kitchen…Working with Elenberg Fraser and Shannon, we delivered a palette of soft textures and luxurious drapery, hides and lots of red rope. The dining room experience is unique to Melbourne – with the buzz from the galley and waiters’ soliloquy – the food arrives in a cloud of anticipation and everything else fades away – the fit out is recessive and keeps the visual language even with bursts of vibrancy from the art works, flowers and of course - food…
